The opening of this year’s festival will be marked with a collaboration between IFFNY and Jakarta Film Week. Dubbed as Jakarta Film Night at IFFestNY, this event is proudly supported by Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office.

Alif Wants A Girl, Yuli Wants A Ride (2023)

Yuli loves a Chad like Alif. But Alif’s motorcycle is seized on their date. Another handsome man appears. She asks Alif to get some cilok so she can flirt with the man. To her disappointment, it turns out the man already has a partner. On her way home, she sees Alif patiently waiting for her while holding the cilok she ordered.
Craving (2023)
Comedy, 21 min. ; Indonesian with English subtitle
Lately, Abdul looks fatigued because his wife, Lela, is on pregnancy cravings. She only wants Betawi food. Expecting a son, Lela is excited because she already has two daughters. Her parents said if the pregnancy craving is not fulfilled, her son will look silly. This is where Abdul’s perseverance is put to the test because of Lela’s unusual pregnancy cravings.

Having been away from home for two years, Mr. Heru decided to go to Jakarta for business and visit his son, Danang. Danang always tells his father he is a successful man. A mistake happens. Mr. Heru found out his son is not successful yet. On that Wednesday, their trip brings them an unprecedented adventure that changes everything.

No less than hundred of thousands viewers participated, both virtually and in person, in a diverse array of programs ranging from the Road to Jakarta Film Week, Jakarta Film Fund, Film Screenings, Masterclasses, Talks, and Community events to the Jakarta Film Week Award Night.
Jakarta Film Week is also committed to providing innovation and opportunities for filmmakers to continue growing by introducing new programs through collaborations with other international film festivals.
