Filmmaker vs. Critics Showdown
Filmmakers – ever felt annoyed by a bad review? Film critics – have you ever seen a film so bad, not only do you want to walk out of the screening but you also want to fight the director? Audiences – have you ever wondered what it’s like for a filmmaker and a film critic to fight? We have it all at the IFFest NY Cinema Showdown, where (small time) film critic Patricia Kusumaningtyas will face (small time) filmmaker Lerryant Krisdy neck-to-neck in this cinephile battle of the century. Lerry and Patricia will trade punches in themes relating to filmmaking, the film criticism ecosystem, and the state of Indonesian cinema. Audiences will be invited to cheer on (ask questions and discuss) these themes. If you want to learn more about the state of the Indonesian film industry, or just want to watch these guys work it out on the remix, this panel is for you!

His storytelling often explores deep friendships and personal lives against dynamic backdrops, showcasing a playful yet profound narrative style
